Bootcamp Pittsburgh
Bootcamp Pittsburgh
April 2007: When PodCamp Pittsburgh attendees realized there was a noticeable “information gap” between active social media creators and those who were just getting started, they realized something had to be done to close that gap.
Five months after the first PodCamp Pittsburgh, those concerned creators formed BootCamp, an “entry-level” event for anyone unfamiliar with blogging, podcasting and other social media forms. Over 130 attendees converged at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh for a day of learning, which included:
* The basics of blogging, podcasting and photo-sharing
* Hands-on guidance on “How to Start Your Own Blog”
* Tips on using social media for business and educational purposes
* A crash course on internet music production from popular web musician Matthew Ebel
